Cisco Packet Tracer Cisco Packet Tracer is a tool used for network simulations. It is used widely throughout the Cisco courses and some YouTube tutorial activities. You need to be very familiar with this software. Ensure you have installed an up-to-date version of Packet Tracer before doing your study. Installing Packet Tracer To install Cisco Packet Tracer: 1. Logon to the Cisco Networking Academy 2. Go to Resources > Download Packet Tracer 3. Scroll down to the download for your operating system 4. Download and install the software as usual. Authentication Please note that Packet Tracer requires authentication to unlock its full functionality. Users that do not authenticate, with their login and password, will not be able to save work after three complimentary saves.
