Task summary and instructions
What is this
assessment task
about?
This assessment is a written questionnaire with a mix of
objective and subjective questions.
The questionnaire is designed to meet the knowledge
required to meet the unit requirements safely and effectively.
The questions focus on the knowledge evidence required for
this unit of competency:
organisation style guide/house style
format and its impact on readability, cohesion and
appearance of document
categories and logical sequences of information
rules and conventions for written English
key features of word processing software
key features of written communication methods,
including:

general emails
o
procedures
o
business letters
o
meeting agendas
organisational policies and procedures relating to written
communication
process for checking:
o
suitability of document for audience, purpose, format,
and structure

grammar, spelling and style for accuracy and
punctuation

Your assessor will be looking for demonstrated evidence of
your ability to answer the questions satisfactorily, follow
instructions, conduct online research and review real or
simulated business documentation as instructed.

situations should be carefully examined, otherwise the
flow of the content may be disrupted and the attention

Graphics
If some content, such as graphics, is combined with
content such as text and presented to the audience, it
can be ensured that the audience creates a fantasy
phenomenon in their mind about that subject and pays
more attention.
