Implementing the sticky bit on the directory can stop people from
accidentally deleting files that they don’t own. How can this technique
be used to implement the concept of least privilege, and how can it be
used to assure file availability?
Using the sticky bit on the directory can apply least privilege by only allowing the
user who created the file to delete it or allowing certain users with access to the file
to do so as well. It also can assure file availability by allowing authorized users
access to certain files and preventing access to unauthorized users.
