What type of chart is appropriate to visually represent the numerical data?
After finishing the modules, I believe that a column bar chart is the most appropriate to represent
the numerical data in New Hampshire Business Products case. From a potential stakeholder
perspective, I think they will want to see a visual representation so they can compare the data
presented.
Describe how you will adapt the formatting, labeling, formulas, and organization of
your Excel document to fit the purpose of the document and its audience.
Since I will be using a column bar graph, I want to ensure that the format is as easy to read as
possible. I will start the numerical axis (Y) at 0 so that the stakeholders see how tall the
columns heights are and it will be easier to read at that starting point. I think using this format
and organization will work become for the audience it is being presented to.
What type of number format would be appropriate for representing the information
required? For example, how many decimal spaces will you include? Will you use a
number format or a currency format?
For the number format, I intend to use the currency formatting and include formulas to avoid
mistakes and make sure the correct calculations are done. After looking over the numbers that
will be involved in this graph, I do not think that decimals are necessary, so I do not plan on
using them in the spreadsheet. I will use times new roman font at size 12 to maintain a
professional feel and to be consistent with all documents. I will also utilize spell check prior
to submitting the assignments to double check that everything is done well. I think doing these
things will give the audience a clear picture of the data I am presenting.
