There are many tools that allow you to develop a plan for a wireless network. Refer to “7 free Wi-Fi
stumbling and surveying tools for Windows and Mac,” located in the topic readings, and choose
one. Then briefly explain the benefits of using the tool you selected.
Hello Class,
The one that I found most interesting was the Cain and Abel software. Cain and Abel are a
windows-based software that is used to password recovery, cracking applications, Wi-Fi stumbling,
sniffing, and cracking tools. The reason that I picked this one was because of the password
recovery, I have seen multiple times people forgetting important passwords that should not have
been forgotten and using a software in backup of the Wi-Fi sniffing is another great tool to use
because you can offer services to individuals besides sniffing the Wi-Fi network. Cain and Abel is
mainly for penetration and not much focused on Wi-Fi stumbling but it does have the capabilities
of stumbling on the wireless network.
