Outline minimum terms and conditions that must be included in an enterprise agreement. An enterprise agreement must contain the following terms:
a nominal expiration date for the contract that isn't more than four years after the Fair Work
Commission authorizes it.
a process for resolving disagreements that must authorize the Fair Work Commission or a
third party independent of the parties to the agreement to resolve disagreements about the

arrangements (IFAs) to meet the actual needs of both the employer and the employees.
These are agreements formed between an employer and employee that modify how the
conditions of the enterprise agreement apply to a particular employee.
A consultation clause, which obligates the employer to consult the staff over any important
workplace changes that are likely to have an impact on them and permits the staff to
participate in the consultation. In the absence of such a term, the model consultation term
will be used.
8.
Explain the process of performance management and the purpose of using performance
management systems in the workplace.
Employees and management are always trying to share communication in order to give and receive feedback as part of the performance management process. For the business to understand and accomplish its objectives, this is crucial. Planning is the initial stage of the procedure. The management must decide on its objectives and the steps it will take during the planning process. Following that, management and staff must have a chance to share feedback and suggestions for improving goal-setting. Finally, everyone needs to support and agree with the idea. Coaching is the second stage of the procedure. In coaching, this means you have to ensure sure your strategies are carried out effectively. An ongoing exchange of ideas and improvements should take place at frequent meetings. Training and solutions to potential issues should also be provided. In order to stay on track and keep your attention on the goal, it is also important to review your objectives regularly. The third step entails evaluation. Here, management is responsible for ensuring that the
workers are performing their duties competently. The management should be examined, as well as their ultimate objective. To ensure that nobody is left behind, this is being done. Given that there is no such thing as a faultless procedure, this would also serve as a warning of potential issues. The final step is taking action. Employee recognition and reward are practiced in this. This is done to maintain the workers' motivation for their work.
Enhancing management and staff performance is the goal of performance management. Through conversation, it takes place. This is done to see if the workers are performing the tasks that are appropriate for them. Achieving company goals, enhancing employee and management performance, developing everyone's abilities, and knowing what the employee merits in terms of incentives and recognition are all crucial processes. Additionally, it enables the business to determine the abilities needed for employees to perform their duties to a high standard and to produce high quality work performance.

9.
Explain two types of performance management systems that can be used at work. Objectives and Key Results: The OKR system is straightforward, and by using the proper structures and controls, you may get excellent outcomes. Additionally, it lays up clear expectations for workers so that everyone is aware of their roles, has attainable objectives, and moves quickly and steadily toward achieving them.
HR Review-Driven Systems
: While not strictly an OKR replacement, an HR review-driven performance management system provides an additional method of gauging employee performance. An OKR framework focuses on performance elements that may affect a person's achievement of goals and is typically more strategy-driven. For instance, the number of individuals contacted for a product demo could be measured by
sales department OKRs.

10.
In what form must an employer provide an employee with notice of termination.
The National Employment Standards state that an employer must inform an employee in writing of the date of termination. The minimal amounts of notice stipulated in the NES or applicable industrial instrument must be provided to employees (or paid in lieu of such notice).
11.
Under the Fair Work Act, what amount of notice must be given to employees who have worked
for a company for less than one year.
Minimum Notice Period: 1 Week.
12.
List two types of employees to whom notice of termination would not need to be provided. Employees in the building and construction, meat or seasonal labor industries who are hired on a daily basis
or for a certain length of time
13.
Under what circumstances is an employee entitled to redundancy pay?
When an employer no longer requires a role to be filled or the same number of people to do specific responsibilities, a position is considered redundant. You may be eligible for redundancy pay if you lose your job. Redundancy pay is a sum obtainable to an employee because their employer no longer needs anybody
to do their job. An employee might be made redundant because:
Their employer introduced new technology, which replaced the work they were doing (that is, it can be done by a machine)
Business declines
The company transacts
There is a merger or takeover.
The company reorganizes or restructures
The employer ceases operations as a result of bankruptcy or liquidation
14.
Explain at least three circumstances that can constitute unfair dismissal.
A number of situations may be considered unjust termination of employment, such as when
the employee is not given a good reason for their dismissal or when the dismissal is
excessive given the offence for which it was made.
Unfair dismissal occurs when an employee is not given a reasonable opportunity to improve
their performance or when a fair hearing is not given prior to the employee's termination.

15.
Which circumstances must apply for the Fair Work Commission to determine that an employee
has been unfairly dismissed? If the following conditions are met, the Fair Work Commission may determine that an employee was fired unfairly. The firing was stern, unfair, or unreasonable. The termination was not a true redundancy situation.
An employee's unlawful dismissal by an employer may only be shown if they had worked
for the company for more than a year and the reason for their exit was not a genuine
redundancy.
An employee must have been employed by the company for at least one and a half years in
order to file a claim for unfair dismissal, and their departure could not be due to a genuine
case of redundancy.
16.
Outline five ways of that staff can develop skills at work
Get a mentor & be a mentor
Raise your hand for new challenges
Read & look for problems to solve
Make friends (network) in other departments
Find the learning opportunities internally
17.

Policy purpose- The purpose of this exhibit and the management policy All Boutique Build Australia representatives should understand that their work and desired work performance are understood, and that they will get ongoing criticism for their presentation. Disseminate compensation as necessary to identify development opportunities, and address performance that falls short of expectations. The thorough presentation of the executive's framework empowers employees to make more significant commitments to their professional development and empowers directors to more easily identify, evaluate, and reward representatives in accordance with a number of shared values. Policy statement- Boutique Build Australia works to create an environment where all employees are conscious of how their actions affect the achievement of hierarchical goals and have the freedom to exercise self-awareness and consistent professional judgment. As a result, they can achieve this through execution evaluation and a strong presentation based on yearly execution examinations. This executive presentation and audit measure are ongoing as we continue to organize, supervise, poll, and recognize colleagues' exhibitions. 2.

Send an email to your assessor.
The text of the email should be in grammatically correct English, written in an appropriate (polite,
business-like) style.
It should introduce and summarise the contents of the attachments, ask them for their feedback,
and ask for the place, date and time of your training session. Attach your Performance Management Policy and Procedures and Performance Management Presentation to the email.
Subject: Performance management policy and presentation
Hi sir, I hope this is useful to you.
The purpose of this email is to familiarize you with the content of the attachments, which include the board's execution strategy and methodology as well as Boutique Build Australia's executive exhibition. In addition, I want you to consider the connection carefully and I want your opinion. If you agree with the content, I might like to organize a training session for the staff of Boutique Build Australia on how to execute the board and conduct internal research. As a result, the content includes the association's presentation. The executive’s strategy takes into account the rationale behind the strategy, the goal of the arrangement, and the number of annual execution evaluations for each representative. The plan also keeps in mind why the association needs to evaluate performance, as well as the incremental procedures for organizing and leading execution assessment meetings. A format for documenting audit execution can also be found in the paper. Additionally, information on when to spot execution flaws and how to appropriately provide feedback once the situation has been resolved during an exhibition audit.
Although the purpose of the presentation of the board show is to prepare training for the association's leader, the course also covers the key points of the new exhibition and the executives' interaction that I developed in the strategies and methodology. This is because the course also includes information on hierarchical supervisors' communication skills, which are used for performance assessment in Boutique Build Australia. If you agree to take classes on the exhibition examination measure, kindly examine the material attached to this email and let me know your thoughts and worries. I will wait for your response. I will get in touch with all of my co-workers who need to attend the gathering once I have confirmed the reserved time, date, and location to share the details and begin the planning process.
You will learn about the executives' plans, systems, and board show execution. Much obliged to you!

Student Assessment Tasks
Assessment Task 4 Instructions Complete the following activities:
Role-play A:
Jamie is the learning and development officer at Boutique Build Australia. Jamie has been with the company
for two months and so far, has shown that she is hard working and responsible. Up until this point, Jamie has mainly been delivering training and education to staff, as well as organising professional development. Jamie has recently been allocated a task to develop a new health and safety manual for staff. Jamie has developed the first chapter of the manual and has provided it to you for review. The content seems okay, but
Jamie’s writing style is confusing and difficult to understand.
As Jamie’s supervisor, you need to meet with her to provide feedback on her work, expected performance, and provide some coaching.
Complete the following activities:
1.
Prepare for the meeting with Jamie
To prepare for the meeting with Jamie you are required to:
Research the STAR model of giving feedback and develop and practice a script that you can use at the meeting with Jamie. Your script should also include positive comments on Jamie’s performance to date. You will not be required to submit your script and you should talk without referring to the script at the assessment.
Research ways of improving writing style and make notes on at least five tips to talk through at the meeting with Jamie. Situation or task- Initially, state the precise circumstance or assignment given to the worker. Write as specifically as you can. For instance, write "We have a customer complaining about poor service" or "our monthly sales are less than" instead of "well done". Action- Thus, the STAR feedback approach entails documenting the employee's conduct, whether it was favorable or bad. Use terms like "listen to and provide discounts to calm customers" or "no management" Details for upsells instead of using generalizations like "solve it" or "screw it up."
Results- The outcome stage is where you can indicate the immediate outcome of the action in the STAR feedback model. Be precise instead of using general terms like "fixed the problem," like "calm down the consumer and you still make a sale." Ways to improve writing style: Utilize basic language- Using more simple terms is the most important way to improve your writing. Whether
they are action words, nouns, or adjectives, basic words frequently have broader interpretations while complex words have more overt implications. Consequently, your error rate will be lower when you use more
simple terms. Replaced a word that was more easily understood with a less natural word.
Delete the long sentence- Limiting the use of complex sentences is one way to improve the
clarity of your writing. Isolating a lengthy sentence into at least two shorter sentences is the
easiest way to accomplish this. The use of shorter sentences doesn't mean that all sentences
must be. This will result in a sloppy style, and it is this that assumes the role of skilled

composition. You must determine how to use sentence diversity, short and large sentences,
and how to weave them together.
Avoid excess- Drab writing occurs when the writer pointlessly repeats a word or a notion.
Saying "amateurs need insight," for example, is redundant because the word "novices"
already implies a lack of involvement. Words or phrases that can be removed without
altering how important a sentence is are considered excess.
Cutover appraisal- The reader will know that you are reasonable if you utilize qualifiers
sparingly. However, using this qualifier as frequently as possible weakens your
composition. It sounds unsure because of the very high appraisal, which also increases
noise without adding anything substantive.
Avoid superfluous self-references- Avoid meaningless phrases like "I accept," "I think," and
"As I see it." It is not necessary to remind readers that your writing represents your
perspective.
Encourage lively conversation. Generally speaking, a dynamic voice is better than an aloof
voice since it requires fewer words overall and is more straightforward.
Like action words, not things- Nominalization is an extravagant-sounding concept that,
when written down, is quite important. Used to illustrate how action words and adjectives
are transformed into things; for example, "exact measure" is the nominalization of "exact
measure." The statement is weaker because of the nomenclature. 2.
Meet with Jamie (your assessor)
At the meeting with Jamie, provide positive feedback on Jamie’s performance to date and then using the STAR model of feedback to outline the areas where improvement is required as per the script you have developed.
Talk through the five tips you have identified to improve writing style. During the meeting, you are required to demonstrate effective communication skills including:
Speaking clearly and concisely
Using non-verbal communication to assist with understanding
Asking questions to identify required information
Responding to questions as required
Using active listening techniques to confirm understanding

Role play B: It is now six months later, and it is time for Jamie’s performance review,
Conduct a performance review with Jamie as set out below:
Send an email to Jamie informing of her of the date and time of the performance review and explaining that the performance review template that will be used. Attach a copy to the email.
Conduct the performance review in a maximum time of 30 minutes.
Use effective communication skills for performance management. Your assessor will roleplay Jamie during the performance review. Employee 1: What is Boutique Build Australia's policy objective?
Manager: Boutique Build Australia needs to be informed of what the job entails, including position and obligation. Additionally, workers have a right to fair performance reviews and sanctions. Manager: What objectives do performance reviews have?
Employee 2: Could you describe the steps involved in setting up and running a performance review meeting?
Manager: Planning, controlling, reviewing, and rewarding performance are the four phases of Boutique Build
Australia's performance management process. During the planning stage, Boutique Build Australia hosts a meeting where workers are given individual objectives and outcomes for the performance period. Communication between the employee and the manager is essential during the management phase for attaining goals and identifying potential obstacles. Each employee will get an email with the time, place, and date of their performance review meeting throughout the review phase. At least a week before the deadline, send this email. The meeting will continue no longer than 30 minutes after preparations have been finished. This test must be taken between May and August of every year. Employee 1: How many times a year should each employee's performance be assessed?
Employee 2: There are two performance assessments each year, between July and December.
Employee 1: An employee's performance is evaluated in order to strengthen working relationships, provide feedback on how they are doing with respect to the company's goals, and track their professional growth through time.
Employee 2: Is everyone covered by the policy?
Manager: All employees at Boutique Build Australia are subject to the policies and procedures listed below. Every year, performance reviews for employees are conducted in July and January. 3.
Prepare for the meeting with Jamie
To prepare for the meeting with Jamie you are required to:
Review the Performance Review Guidance and Performance Agreement Template so that you are able to go through each aspect of Jamie’s performance according to these.
Research potential learning and development opportunities for Jamie based on the performance assessment information provided to you. You will discuss these at the performance review.
Develop and practice a script to use at the performance review meeting with Jamie. Ensure you review all the information that you will need to cover at the meeting so that you can prepare your script accordingly. I understood and noted down the key things addressed at the meeting with Jamie while getting ready for it using the performance review guide and the performance agreement document. Based on performance evaluation data, I also looked at development and learning opportunities. These will all be included in the performance review. Jamie's writing style, which staff members find difficult to read and confusing, is his biggest issue. You will learn some writing style advice for this. You will also receive some samples so you can see what is done. Policy/Form Name

Send an email to Jamie (your assessor).
The text of the email should be in grammatically correct English, written in an appropriate (polite,
business-like) style.
It should introduce and summarise the contents of the attachment and give them the place, date, time and expected duration of the meeting. Attach the Performance Agreement Template to the email.
To Jamie, A meeting with you was conducted a few months ago to discuss your involvement with and dedication to the
creation of a safety and security manual for the company. You are well aware that, even though your careful work is appreciated, you are frequently asked to improve your writing since it confuses readers. I requested a second meeting with him to talk about the changes in his performance since then. The gathering will take place in the gathering room on October 10, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. The customary gathering duration is 30 minutes. For your information, I have also attached the exhibition understanding layout to this email. I look forward to seeing you on Monday.
Best of luck,
Respects,
HR Manager, Boutique Build Australia
5.
Conduct the meeting with Jamie
At the performance review you will be required to:
Explain the purpose of the performance review.
Discuss your rating of Jamie’s work against each item in the checklist.
Ensure you emphasise areas where Jamie has done well and others where improvement is required.
Respond to any questions.
In consultation with Jamie, agree on areas of improvement and indicate that a learning and development plan will be documented. Make notes for inclusion in the performance review template. During the performance review, use the effective communication skills for performance management that you identified in Assessment Task 3. Attendees: Jamie and Human Resource Manager
Agenda: Jamie’s Performance Discussion
The purpose of the meeting is to help Jamie understand his writing style, execution, and range of talents, as well as how performance evaluation affects Jamie's overall performance. During the presentation survey, a few problems were discovered. Composing style is the first and most important consideration. They talked about his display while they were gathered. Jamie excels in the majority of execution-related domains. Nevertheless, it requires communication, group use, and workplace comprehension. The area of correspondence is currently being surveyed, and she has also been informed and given advice on future development strategies. Communication: Modifications are written down in hard copy format. Attend conferences and seminars. Equipment used: classes and hands-on preparation Workplace gathering plan: amicable workshops. We created a smartphone software called dairy products Allergen Detector for dairy products. This
programme contains a few crucial features. Users might first enter any dietary limitations. The user
will be made aware of the infraction if they scan diary products and it conflicts with their dietary
restrictions. Second, the app is also meant to serve as a projector for an inventory. Analyze every
supermarket purchase to spot trends in the frequency with which customers buy particular items.
The user is then informed if another purchase of the item is necessary. Third, the app incorporates a
linked dairy products recommender that offers choices for comparable dairy productss beneath
each scanned item (this is especially important if the scanned items are limited to the user). Lastly,
the customer can visit the restaurant and view all the items that adhere to the rules. Fifth, without
utilising a barcode, the user can physically scan the dairy products item to see if it exceeds their
limitations.
