What other information would you gather to improve your map and add more detail?
The map can be improved by adding additional information about current and future network infrastructure plans for SJFN. This can include the number of businesses and residences currently connected to the fiber network which can shed light on how many new
connections can be possible if wireless access and connection are provided. Range is an important aspect to know as we can determine what areas will have weaker data transfer speeds and this can be due to challenges of physical barriers like walls or buildings and interference from other wireless networks.

is considering expanding the
SJFN
to include wireless to include wireless
access for
its residences. What additional investigation will you do to prepare for a citywide wireless network?
Surveys can be done to assess what residents of the service are having interest, funding can also be looked into for the sources of the project and what will be needed, potential cost as a whole for the project and what it can be dwindled down to. There should also be an analysis on the impact of wireless access for residences and how it will affect the current existing infrastructure and environmental concerns such as radiation on human health in the form of EMF radiation.

What security concerns do you have for the wireless network?
Security concerns that I would have around the wireless network would be vulnerabilities that allows for unauthorized access to information that is not for the public or anyone’s eyes besides officials and individuals with granted access to said information. Assessments and tests need to be conducted on the network rigorously for such a large network for any potential breaks or vulnerabilities in the system that could lead to a cyberattack and risk sensitive information. Policies should be set in place and procedures to network security in the event something happens and there is a cyberattacks and finally, the correct and thorough training needs to be provided to ensure everyone is aware of potential risk and are aware how to protect themselves and the network in the event of an attack.
