Benchmark a CPU
Objectives
Learn how to compare CPU performance with other processors and to ensure that the
processor, heat sink and fan are installed and working correctly.
What you need prior to starting the lab
●
Internet connection
●
BurnInTest utility which can be downloaded from https://www.passmark.com/
●
Windows operating system only
Purpose of the lab
After completing a system build or when you installed a new processor, it is a good
practice to test the CPU performance. This is usually done by running a stress test. If
the system has some problems, it will show up when you increase the load in the
system.
It is recommended to back up the data before you perform any stress test.
Activity
There is a possibility that the images do not match or you may not find the same version
