Both Sources
Analyze the primary sources relevant to your historical event for the presence of bias.
Dick Leitsch, was an American LGBT rights activist. The whole article is biased coming from the standpoint of the president of a gay rights group. Leitsch said things like, “The police behaved, as is usually the case when they deal with homosexuals, with bad grace, and were reproached by "straight" onlookers.”
Seymour Pine, being the NYPD police officer that led the raid at the stonewall inn club his view of events is somewhat biased as well. He’s coming from the standpoint of a government official that was attacked although he is apologetic about what transpired that night he was still standing on the opposite side.
Compare how your historical event is represented in your primary sources.
2
I feel as though they both came from a standpoint of biased attitudes in their own rights. So the Stonewall Uprising was different for them both at that time. Dick believes that LGBTQ+ people was discriminated against and treated unfair. Whereas Seymour believed he was just doing his job at the time.
