The lessons learned have been valuable; they provided great insight into making decisions and navigating challenges more effectively by understanding the impact on society and
individuals, developing empathy, and a broader understanding of diverse perspectives that can enhance better relationships and interactions with others. The passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 outlawed discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sеx, or national origin—
ending segregation in public places and making it illegal for employers to discriminate аgаinst any employee due to their race—and the Voting Rights Act of 1965 outlawed discrimination on the basis of race or color in voting. The Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s was an important turning point for the United States, bringing about profound changes in the nation’s politics, social culture, and economy. The movement’s focus on civil rights, economic equality, and social
justice achieved remarkable progress in the advancement of racial inequality. I am comfortable knowing that I have the freedom to vote, speech, and the opportunity to fight for my dreams in a country where my rights are respected. Please participate in the discussion post. Is an excellent place to learn information in different ways since every student submits additional information covering the week's topics. Actively engage with the material. Take notes, highlight key points, and gain different perspectives. Collaborative learning can deepen your understanding of historical concepts and be
flexible when learning various topics. How has this course affected you today in your daily life and/or work?
Understanding the history of the United States was an enriching experience. I grew up in Mexico, and I have been in this country for a few years. I enjoyed the class and all the

information I learned from participating in the discussions and doing the case studies for the course. I learned information that I know I can use in the future during social gatherings or just in a simple conversation with co-workers or friends. What should incoming students be aware of regarding this class?
Review the syllabus and course materials before each class; the class requires a lot of reading, highlighting the critical information, and incorporating other sources from the library online database. They also have additional research materials that help with the case studies. Engage in the class discussion by participating in the weekly discussion post. Start assignments early and organize your time. What strategies did you use that they may find useful?
Reading the assigned readings, taking notes, and participating in the weekly discussions were helpful for me to learn about the topic covered for the week. I learned a lot reading the discussion from different students since we only had to pick 2-3 topics from the work in some of the assignments. Reading the discussion taught me about the other issues covered for the week. I used different resources to enhance my knowledge of the subject, especially the links provided regarding the lessons we covered for the week.
What advice can you provide to help them earn an A?
Read the material, complete the discussion on time, and learn the material because you enjoy the class. Use all the resources provided and ask for assistance with time.
