Report
Bianca Madrigal 19 September 2023 The Latin Americans perspective on Latin American wars for independence (not including Cuba) was a positive outcome they were content with the growth of nationalism, equality, and fraternity they aimed for political independence. If this ended in favor of Latin Americans, it would make a huge positive life change. Before Latin Americans faced inequality and lack of economic independence among other challenges, so the war brought some good out of a bad situation. The impact of the US theory of manifest destiny on the Latin American war for independence was that the US felt the outcome would lead as a threat to its own peace and safety due to the European powers of imposing their system on independent states in the western hemisphere. The long-term effect of the outcome after the war for the US is that this would strengthen its power after the independence finally came. The Latin Americans perspective on the Mexican American war was that the whole purpose was to defend its territory, but they did deal with a lot when they became independent. They felt a little scared and unsure because of how they were treated prior to the war which was not good they felt they were tortured. They were losing their land to Americans in which alarmed conflict. There was social and racial tension. The impact of the US theory of manifest destiny on the Mexican American war was that this war was considered a key event in American history as it to them fulfilled its manifest destiny. Many Americans supported the Mexican American war. The US gained land; this was all considered a win for them.
