Both Sources
Analyze the primary sources relevant to your historical event for the presence of bias.
Both primary sources have bias in them that can shape how you view the source. The AIM poster has the bias of the AIM organization in mind, specifically calling for other nations and individuals to help them demand for a ceasefire. It also states they need help to bring their cause to a higher level and demand that the government fix the issues they are trying to present. These points can lead a viewer to see the bias to their favor. The interview with D. Eastman provides an insight from a Native that was outside of the occupation, it still has bias in the fact that he believes he could have prevented the deaths that occurred had the U.S. Marshalls not gotten involved. He provides more detail to what occurred or in his eyes what went wrong all together.
Compare how your historical event is represented in your primary sources.
Both primary sources have direct ties to the historical event, but they have different perspectives on the event. The AIM poster provided an insight into what difficulties the organization was happening during the event and their need for aid. While the interview with D. Eastman provides context into what happened on the outside with the U.S. Marshalls and FBI. His point of view surrounds the incident could be seen on the middle ground because he saw issues with both sides. I believe both primary sources provided great insight to the event as a whole.
