Thesis
Although one of the main purposes of the Crusades were meant to bring unity between Eastern and Western Christians, the actions of the crusaders themselves as well as the results of the Crusades made things worse between the two regions.

It is evidential that the Crusades were meant to bring peace and unity between Eastern and Western Christians. While things may have started off well between the Crusaders. Many things started to go wrong for a variety of different reasons. Because of the Crusades, there are still deep divisions between numerous denominations to this very day.
