How did the technologies of WW1 affect soldiers fighting on the front lines? Automated guns and tanks were the main weapons used in World War I. They were also used to either blind, burn or kill the enemy with poisonous gases. The gases could penetrate much further into the enemy's territory than any weapon or soldier could. The technologies developed during World War I made combat much more efficient in that it was safer for the soldiers to use them than to be up close with the enemy all the time.

Women participated in a variety of ways, such as volunteering as nurses in the navy or in the armed forces. A large number of women also served in the United States Red Cross. Women did
everything they could and everything they were capable of to help those who were fighting.
How was the war experience of an African American, Hispanic American, or Asian American soldier different from that of a white soldier?
There were many different types of people who were drafted, but they weren’t treated in the same way as white people. There were about 365,000 African Americans who joined the Army. Most of them were segregated, and they were treated much better by the French than they were treated by the US military. There were also many Hispanic Americans who joined, and as we know, there was discrimination against them as well.
