As a future healthcare manager, ensuring patient safety and quality standards are upheld is
of utmost importance. I would take several measures to ensure quality standards remain upheld, such as sending out patient surveys to gauge their satisfaction, logging and frequently checking patient wait times, reviewing patient outcomes, and checking in on the completion of patient charting frequently. These steps will allow me to see where improvements can be made and assess what areas need more attention and guidance. To ensure patient safety, I will ensure my medical team has the proper licenses, remains in compliance with their training, company policies surrounding patient privacy are followed, and
review treatment records. Ensuring the staff are well informed and current on their training plays a large role in ensuring patients receive the care that best matches the latest guidelines. Reviewing the charting on care will allow me to see how well our treatments are working. Lastly,
to ensure the policies are being followed, I may place test calls to staff asking for patient information to see if they will follow privacy rules; if these are not followed, it will result in corrective action.
