2.1 Introduction: The study aims to critically assess the influence of strategic managements and sustainability On UK health care setting. It showcases the quality of the health sector and how sustainable issues affect the effectiveness of service delivery to the community. The opportunities available in strategic management are explored to add value to the entire health sector. The objectives of the research topic were to identify, importance, strategies and issues underpinning the strategic management and sustainability aspects in health care organizations. This chapter will cover the method of analysis including research philosophy, approaches, strategies, choices and data collection techniques. In addition, the data analysis and presentation techniques has been covered. The method of research analysis will be well linked to the aims and objectives provided. It is imperative to note that the basis of this section is to obtain quality and relevant data needed to form conclusive research finding that are highly informative. 2.2 Method of Analysis 2.2.1 Research philosophy According to D’Andreamatte et al (2015), research philosophy revolves around the approach to critically comprehend and disseminate vital data set acquired through research. Henry (2021) defines philosophy as a focal term connecting with the information improvement and the idea of that information comparable to explore. This research employed positivism philosophical
approach to enhance knowledge based natural phenomenon in order to create reason and logic underpinning the imams and objectives of the research (Muriuki, 2015).Lopes et al (2017) indicates that positivism is a philosophy that holds that only observational and knowledge-based factual knowledge is reliable. As stated by Henry (2021), a positivist worldview which is to some degree quantitative in nature, is worried about peculiarities that can be estimated, noticed, and approved (Muriuki, 2015). Also, positivists try to figure out why things happen the way they do; what's more, they expect a valuable examination depends on hypothesis, speculation, and qualitative information (Sagano, Mukulu, and Kahiri,2013). The positivism philosophy is quite subjective in nature, and is an epistemological place that advocates the need to see the value in the distinctions between people in their jobs as friendly entertainers (Muriuki, 2015).The study embraced the positivism philosophy which included the utilization of existing theories to come up with distinct hypothesis during the entire data collection process and research.Conversely, the study was able to make a number of assumptions thanks to this. 2.2.2 Research approaches This study adopted qualitative research approach and descriptive research design. This approach was quite significant since it was valuable in laying out the idea of existing and current health care situations and conditions. Beheshti & Sægrov, (2018), emphasizes that the qualitative research approach will address how and why the research questions, thus, proper understanding of the health expert’s experiences, health setting phenomena and context .It was also adopted to refine the hypothesis and theories created for future health care research (Sagano, Mukulu, and Kahiri,2013).The current research study being in the field of management fits well in the plan since the elucidating research is utilized broadly in management and instructive examination to give a rich informational collection that frequently uncovers new information or mindfulness.

Cross-sectional studies, according to De los Rios, & Charnley, (2017) , are appropriate when the overall objective is to determine whether there is a significant association between variables at some point. Consequently, the information of factors in an unmistakable exploration can be highlighted by Sagano, Mukulu, and Kahiri (2013), In view that the review pointed toward evaluating the topic, the suitability of the qualitative approach was from foundation that the research problem examination issue depended on the information acquired during data collection and the existing scholarly views, and current records. The research analyzed the importance of strategic management and sustainability in UK health care settings showcasing a snapshot over a given time frame. Hence, being qualitative in nature will assist with figuring out who, what, where, and by whom. The study examined how UK health institution management committees or boards are involved in strategy, as well as strategic thinking, strategic planning, and strategy implementation. The review portrayed and made sense of peculiarities that perceptions reflected measure social reality or depict what was being used in health care organizations in UK. 2.2.3 Research strategies This study adopted various research strategies including cross sectional studies. The research evaluated increase in number of workers, income development, optimum service provision to amplify a comprehensive perspective regarding strategic management and sustainability in UK hospitals. A wide range of data was collected from various scholarly sources and views from health experts. Some of the data included how employees embrace technology and training to improve the quality of their duties. From the views, it is evident that comprehensive inpatient service offers critical services of any clinic activity and subsequently upgrades in this space can bring about colossal reserve funds and general quality enhancements ( Ginter, Duncan, &
Swayne,2018).   Comprehensive long-term administration offers basic types of assistance that should be evaluated routinely to guarantee quality activities since they straightforwardly influence insight about execution of emergency clinics. Further, management that have incorporated National health funds have fulfilled all administrative and guideline necessities of offering ongoing and short-term management ( Ginter, Duncan, & Swayne, 2018 ). In order for the government-sponsored program to protect the patient from rising service costs, these standards must be met. As a result, the study deems these hospitals suitable for the investigation because they are required to provide affordable, effective, and high-quality medical services. 2.2.4 Research choices There is need to conduct a clear research choice since the right method result to accurate information required to achieve the desired research goals. In this case the qualitative approach was the best choice since it integrated the best hospitals to acquire views from management and medics and researching on past scholarly articles ( Ginter, Duncan, & Swayne,2018). Reports and views from senior managers were designated on the grounds that they are more proficient about essential issues ( Engert & Baumgartner,2016). The decision of nature of the report was chosen on the basis of merit where the health expert’s experience and number of articles authored was highly considered. The managers’ reports, articles and books chosen were viewed as the most befitting sources to address questions going from parts of design, system, and management and sustainability. 2.2.5 Data collection strategies Some of the data collection techniques included archival document analysis, review of health organization records and use of scholarly sources. In this case, most of the information was
retrieved from books and articles written by managemental and health authors. The dissertation used databases such as Google Scholar, PubMed and other related secondary databases. Therefore, it retrieved 50 articles from the targeted databases. Keywords such as <problems faced by strategic management in UK’s healthcare sector>, <benefits/importance of strategic management in UK healthcare industry>, <strategic management and sustainability practices in UK healthcare sector> and <strategies to improve strategic management in UK healthcare organizations > were used to search for the appropriate sources. 2.2.6 Data analysis and presentation techniques The thematic analysis technique was used to analyze the information retrieved from all sources. It was applied to identify key themes and patterns in the research to improve interpretation and understanding of the main objectives ( Ginter, Duncan, & Swayne,2018).   During the thematic analysis, the study compared and contrasted findings with existing literature, which includes new studies published since the initial search. Additionally, the research determined subjects against the reasonable system to acquire knowledge into the procedure's medical care pioneers’ utilizations to guarantee the effective execution of key change drives. To make inferences about the general health care organizations, the analysis was tested on sample data. According to Javeed & Lefen, (2019), testing the basic suppositions for numerous relapse investigation is fundamentally fundamental, given the intricacy of the connection between variables. After data collection and organization, all the documents were uploaded; electronically into NVivo for optimal analysis. The software was important for qualitative research to pinpoint key themes and patterns during data analysis and presentation. The presentation of findings incorporated a detailed presentation of each particular theme and arrangement of outcomes with the literature review and conceptual framework instilled in the research.

2.3 Conclusion As seen, the research methodology was important in carrying out an in-depth review of the topic in its natural setting. According to Saunders et al., the qualitative method was appropriate for examining the nature of a phenomenon, gaining new insight into a problem that may lead to the development of theories, and validating the claims and assumptions of a theory in a real-world setting. The approach was interpretive and centered around a particular setting. This enhanced quality information to be collected and analyzed to bring about conclusive results. ( Hitt, Ireland, & Hoskisson,2019). The methodology section accommodated the investigation of the perspectives on reports of health practitioners using questions that could go either way, research of organization records, scholarly sources and perceptions ( Oderanti & Li 2018 ). In current and future research, the strategies explored showcases how the health care management in UK ought to implement a clear data system to guide implementation of strategic change.
