Question 6 0.5 / 0.5 pts The Navajo Nation has a heavy (black) metal scene. Its a youth subculture, and the music is good -- if you like heavy metal. This youtube video offers an introduction to this scene. I encourage you to listen to the whole video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a3AnyzzkDzA Links to an external site. The landforms inside the Navajo Reservation are stunning. Professor Steve Semken in SESE at ASU connects the landforms to a sense of place set in Navajo culture and hopefully this diagram from one of his papers makes intuitive sense: Its hard to know which landform to select for you to think about and evaluate ... but I have to. So please jump to 4:00 through 4:08. Look at the mountain shrouded in clouds and rain. These tall mountains are sacred. In this class, they are the third biggest intrusive igneous feature/landform explained in that lecture. Hint: Navajo Mountain is a classic example of this landform. Correct! laccolith batholith sill dike A batholith is an instrusive igneous body of rock that forms the core of a big mountain range like the Sierra Nevada in California. Batholiths are composed of plutons, or giant solidified magma chambers. The next size
down is a laccolith, like Navajo Mountain and the feature in the music video. Much smaller are dikes and sills.
