such as, photographs, images, props etc. The teacher didn’t use images with the vocabulary words, which could have helped students see what a deck, stepmother, etc., looks like. She could have also translated the vocabulary words so her English Language Learning students could make a connection between their language and English. By using visual aids during her lessons, it can help her students comprehend concepts and make them more understandable.

The teacher will work on providing constructive feedback during her lessons. The teacher didn’t give any feedback to the students. She could have talked about how their questioning was great or how it was incorporated into the story. The teacher can provide feedback to the students and record it in a feedback log with the date, lesson, etc. She can make a video to document her giving feedback. She can also show written feedback on papers, exit tickets, assessments, etc. The administrator will document her use of visual aids through formal and informal observations.
The information, including the feedback log, videos, exit tickets, the administrators notes etc. will be documented in the teacher’s portfolio in her Individual Professional Learning Plan for the state of Idaho through TeacherVitae.
Part IV: Application of Adult Learning Theory
Explain how the professional growth plan is designed to help the teacher improve an aspect noted from the classroom observation.
Through the application of the Adult Learning Theory, the professional growth plan is to help the teacher improve her classroom practices. One way the Adult Learning Theory is applied is by incorporating visual aids in the classroom, which will help all learners comprehend the information being taught in the classroom. Visual aids arouse learners' interest and help the teachers explain the concepts easily. Visual aids are those instructional aids used in the school to encourage teaching and learning (Ashabiralyani, Hasan, Hamad, & Iqbal,2015). Another way the Adult Learning Theory is applied is by the teacher providing students with constructive feedback to help guide them to a deeper understanding of their learning. The Adult Learning Theory is last applied when the teacher attends professional development (PD). It helps the teacher learn new PAGE 3
