Siyu Deng, I really enjoyed reading and learning about the different strategies that you use to write like a scholar- practitioner. I particularly enjoyed the part where you talk about in order to be a good writer, you need to be a good reader. It is important to comprehend first what you are reading, so when you paraphrase you have a good understanding of the message being transcribed. I will definitely be using the TRAP method in my graduate studies here at Walden. Plagiarism is always something I worry about inadvertently doing. Walden University (2012e), defines plagiarism as claiming material to be yours, and not giving credit to its originator. There are many resources at Walden that can help prevent us from Plagiarism, such as SafeAssign. I too was a bit confused at first when I tried SafeAssign, we will get used to it and benefit from it through out our program. My favorite is definitely Grammarly, it was my first time using this program and I don’t know how I was able to survive before without it. I love how that it can tell if you have used a word in the wrong context such as their or there. A good point I read, was that Grammarly will read your work and make suggestions, but it is up to you to actually fix it. (Walden University, n.d). I am happy that we live in a generation where we have all these tools to be successful in our online academic journeys. References Walden University. (n.d.). Grammarly.
