ENG-123 8-3 Reflection
1) Describe why you chose to incorporate specific feedback about your
argument
into your persuasive essay.
You might use feedback from your instructor or peers or from outside the class if you did
not get any feedback from classmates.
My main feedback was to think about more of an audience than just my instructor and peers and be more mindful of my in-text citations. That was needed to make my paper better. Another thing was how I incorporated my evidence into my paper which made it more persuasive and not boring or like it didn’t make sense for it to be there. 2) Describe what decisions you made in your essay based on feedback about the
exploration of your issue.
Describe how you used feedback to make changes or support your original direction.
I don’t believe I got feedback on this except that it was a good topic.
3) Describe the decisions you made based on feedback about
source integration.
Describe how you used feedback to make changes or support your original direction.
I had to rethink how to summarize my sources and introduce them into my paper. I had to
figure out how to balance quotes from my sources and my own words, and whether they were credible sources or not.

4)
Describe which
writing strategies
were most effective in supporting your argument, given your audience, subject, and purpose.
My most effective writing strategies were making an outline, printing it out, reading it aloud, and the topic cluster as well as not overthinking it too much. Overthinking and doubting myself has been something I struggle with often and this course has helped me to work on that.
