Reflective Journal Entry
Thank you for your helpful feedback on my previous assignment. Upon reading your comments, I have noted the key points and can understand where my writing needs improvement. While reflecting on my graded assignment, I agree that I still struggle with developing clearer sentences along with some punctuation. Therefore, I appreciate the resources that were linked to assist in my understanding of mistakes and ensure proper writing in the future. Also, the information you provided me about the use of source materials was extremely helpful, especially how in some cases using examples compared to quoted material can help create a more meaningful paragraph. After reading the chapters in Unit 3, the information about summarizing and paraphrasing was helpful to learn for my paragraph development skills. Overall, I find the reflection journal to be especially useful to pinpoint my past mistakes and how
to improve, and I am confident that my skills will strengthen while I continue through each lesson. Journal: 10/10 A nicely developed paragraph, with your voice clearly conveyed!

Overall, your summary follows a proper style; however, referring to the author’s name more often within the body of the essay ensure the reader knows who the speaker is. As well, as there is strong secondary source in this essay, it should be acknowledged referenced as well. Instructions to do this are in the course materials. Please note the sample of a full works cited for your essay.
A very good effort but a few areas need review!

How to Get Happily Married
The article “How to Get Happily Married” by Julia McKinnell (Lipschutz et al. 381) offers guidance on the actions a woman can take in her twenties before getting married to increase the likelihood of marital success. The key takeaway conveyed by the author is advocating for women to postpone marriage until the age of thirty, suggesting that their twenties are a crucial time to spend devoted to personal growth. During this time, it is essential to seek and nurture genuine and supportive platonic friendships, especially with other women. These relationships can offer emotional support and serve as a reminder of a woman’s individuality

beyond her marriage and family. Additionally, as financial strain is one of the leading causes of divorce, the writer encourages women to focus on improving their relationship with money, thus minimizing the risk of financial conflicts within their marriage. Lastly, practicing self-love is crucial in your twenties as a woman’s level of confidence and how she perceives herself significantly influences on how she accepts and reciprocates love and respect in relationships; a partner with constant self-criticism and negativity may encounter challenges in physical and emotional intimacy. Overall, a woman who prioritizes cultivating healthy habits in her twenties can obtain wonderful lifelong qualities that allow a happier marriage; thus, the key lies in attaining personal happiness beforehand as it lays the groundwork for a fulfilling partnership. All
in all, women who dedicate their twenties to investing in themselves can learn invaluable lessons
in independence and self-fulfillment, serving as a solid foundation for a thriving martial union. Below is a full sample of a Works Cited:
