Report
1 English 122: 4-6 Assignment – Quoting, Paraphrasing, and Summarizing In Daniel T. Willingham’s article “The High Price of Multitasking,” he presents a convincing argument as to the dangers and negative side of multitasking and how it affects the outcome of the tasks at hand. Willingham presents multiple forms of evidence to back up his claims such as experiments where subjects present slower response times when asked to switch tasks, as well as specific instances where lawmakers have stepped in to prevent multitasking whilst doing specific activities (2019). While understanding that multitasking is viewed as favorable and only the benefits are perceived by most, Willingham brings awareness to the potential consequences that multitasking can cause to both ourselves and others around us (2019).
