young people for their responsibilities and opportunities in a changing, interdependent world. They

may be true that boys are more active than girls, but to say that they are treated differently is to be
overly generalizing the situation. A teacher is supposed to be able to handle different types of
children in the classroom, and cater to their activeness or passiveness in a class. For example, a
teacher would try to involve a quiet and shy student as often as possible. The same goes for an
active child; the teacher should be able to find activities for that child which would not only educate
them, but also keep them busy.
Thomas provides various arguments as to how boys and girls are different; therefore they are treated
differently in a classroom. It cannot be argued that boys and girls are different, especially at such a
young age, but to say that teachers specifically do treat boys in a rougher manner would be going
too far. Thomas introduces the idea that society instills ideas of prejudice towards women in young
boys, so that when they do go into a classroom governed by a female teacher, they are predisposed
to be defiant and unruly. In my opinion, it is unfair to judge teachers based on the performance of

In the context of the school it is the habitual or intentional failure from going to school. It cannot be
denied that every now and then, students may miss some school activities and lessons. But it

students are placed at a disadvantage both socially and academically. They miss out on critical

Waking up on time for class goes along with getting enough sleep. Students should time when they
need to wake up for class and set an accurate alarm to wake them up. Staying organized also
involves avoiding clutter. Many students will stack all of their papers together keeping them
unorganized. This can cause many problems when studying for the final exam. To keep organized
while studying, a student should have a quiet place to study. It would make it easier if a student had
folders separating homework and notes for each of their classes. Having one's notes organized

my new place. Fortunately, my campus has apartments in lieu of dormitories. I went to the lease

Today's classroom is one of variety and challenge. I have seen first hand, in the classroom I
observed this semester, the impact of various children's backgrounds. There were second graders

I have known Victor for four years and can say I know him very well. I've had the pleasure to share
classes with Victor throughout high school, work on group presentations and projects, as well as

Victor is the bravest person I know. Our first semester of senior year was extremely difficult for him
because as much as he wants to go to college, he knew that he couldn't afford it. As a DACA
student, there were only a limited number of scholarships he qualified for. On occasions when we
had lunch together, he would breakdown in tears when we spoke about college. This did not get any
after President Trump terminated the DACA program. However, he always had courage and fought
his way to find his only hope: The Golden Doors Scholarship. He knew that this scholarship was the
key to his future and worked day and night assuring that everything on his application was perfect.
He never gave up. He knew that there were very few options, but never once did he not think about
not going to college. College is his biggest dream and he didn't let anything stop him. After
submitting his application, he was one of only 50 students to receive this full ride scholarship.
Victor's persistence prevailed even when he thought his life was falling apart. It's a characteristic
that makes him who he is and the reason I look up to him as a student and human being.

By just going through the motions of coming to work everyday, only getting done what has to be
done, and going home at the end of the day, one might realize that an everyday routine can quickly

The first approach of student–centered learning that will be discussed is a teaching method called
the Learning Cycle. A study was done with fifth grade students learning about sound. There were
some students who were taught using the Learning Cycle, and some students were taught using the
textbook approach. To see which method produced a greater understanding of sound the students
were randomly selected, and an interview method was used in both groups to see what the students
previously knew about sound. Then, in the instruction part of the procedure an instructor was used
in both methods. In the Learning Cycle approach there were three phases: "exploration, concept
introduction and concept application". During these three phases the students worked together in–
groups while discussing their ideas and using manipulatives to act out the concepts. Also, the
teacher would act as a facilitator, while the students discussed their ideas, and created more ideas
and situations to figure out. During the lessons, the students were in active control and they could

goes as far as some applicants feeling that the only way to attain the amount of aid they need is by
cheating on the application.
A friend of mine, who will remain anonymous, testified that she did not claim her father's six–figure
income as contributing to the family's income. This is possible because her parents are divorced. On
the application form, the office allows the applicant to distinguish whether both or only one parent is
contributing to the tuition. The intent of this clause was to aid applicants who have a parent who will
not be contributing to the cost of their education; it was not intended to aid applicants in cheating the

you learn. Taking frequent breaks will make studying less stressful. Using flash cards, web sites,
computers, or just a pencil and paper are all great ways to study. Having an answer sheet to refer to,
and look over when your done will also help study and learning skills because it can help you see
what you did wrong and need to fix. Having a study group or club before big tests, like exams or
diplomas, will help you have more fun with your friends when studying.
Also study at home with adults to help you. Having friends to study with will increase your
enjoyment of learning, and learning to learn. Doing homework right after you get home from school
is good because you might still remember what to do and what you need to study. Doing homework
in the morning can make it less likely for you to sleep or enjoy your day. If you enjoy writing or
reading a job may be based on writing in a future date, but if you dislike reading you might want a
job such as a doctor.

They know their structure and have a very superior vocabulary, so they can compose excellent
essays. In addition, since American students speak English very well, they do not have any problem
participating in class. They have confidence in themselves, so they will not be afraid of saying
something wrong. Consequently, because American students do not have to learn any language to
study their mayor, it is much easier for them to achieve excellent grades. Most university students
feel the necessity of working since they would like to have their own money in order to be
independent from their parents. It is not the exception for International students because they also
feel the necessity of working to be independent from their parents or whoever is responsible for
them. However, for international students to work in the United States it is very difficult because
they are only allowed to work on campus. These kinds of jobs are very limited since some of the
campuses in which they study are very small. Also for an international student to find a job on
campus is difficult because people prefer to employee an American student who is not going to have

Students must self evaluate/reflect at the end of each clinical course by answering the
statements/questions below. This paper is evaluated based on how completely each section is
answered as well as grammar/spelling/punctuation.
1. Describe the things (at least 3) you felt good about in the clinical experiences this term.
There were many things that I felt good about this term in my pediatric clinical experience. I was
very impressed with my assessment skills. I was not very confident with my pediatric assessment
skills, however I discovered that the assessment was not very difficult especially when you followed
the head to toe assessment. I found the newborn checklist extremely helpful when completing my
wellness visit. Another item I felt good about was my ability to develop plan or care and diagnosis
with the episodic visit. The last item I felt good about was the comfort and enjoyment I had working
with the pediatric populations. I learned very quickly how to approach the different age groups and
was told by many parents that I was excellent with working with their child. I would actually
consider a career in pediatric setting and before this rotation I would of never thought this would be
an option.
2. Describe at least two things you felt did not go well during this term's clinical experience.
One item I felt did not go well was the lack of documentation at the site. I had to complete many
learning modules on charting before starting this rotation, so assumed that I would be charting. I
discovered that there was a problem in the past with students charting and they had discontinued
students charting over year ago. Another item that I felt did not go well was the lack of observation
of clinical care with my preceptor. I would go in and evaluate the patient before her and then she
would follow. The clinic was very busy and I was always trying to catch up with her to see if our
diagnosis and plan of care were consistent. I did shadow her the first day and then I saw all clients
on my own.
3. What new learning came about because of both the good and not so good experiences? What new

My Journey As A High School Student Essay
At around this time four years back, I was just beginning my journey as a high school student. I had
decided that I wanted to tryout for my schools ' dance team. I had previously danced with a studio
by the name of Barton and Williams School of Dance, since the age of three, so I was excited to
learn that I could be on a team at my school. I received all of the information that was necessary
regarding the tryout dates, along with the paperwork that would be needed. We had to learn two
combinations, as well as the actual tryout dance
, within three days. On the day of the judging
portion of the tryouts, everyone received a number. The judges would throw us into groups of three
or four by randomly choosing our numbers. We needed to perform the two combinations
individually and the actual routine as a group. Once all of the groups were done, we had to wait for a
good two or three hours for the results. Everyone had been so nervous. Finally, the judges entered
the room and posted the list of the numbers of the people who had made the cut onto the wall. I was
so excited to see my number on the list and to be able to say that I had made it. In the very
beginning of the season, my team attended the National Dance Alliance camp, or NDA camp. This
camp consists of nothing but dance for four days and three nights. It is located in Maryland, at
Towson University, so we had to rent a bus in order to get there. About a month before camp, the
