In the email, explain what the issue is and provide some context that might help an IT professional resolve it. For example, you might state that you are having issues connecting to Wi-Fi on your computer or phone, or you are getting a 404 error when you try to access a webpage. Maybe your wireless router is blinking strangely. You can describe an issue that you actually have experienced as a user in the past, or choose an issue that you think is common for many users to experience. In response to two of your peers, answer the email as if you are an IT professional working at a help desk. If you are having issues troubleshooting the user or system error because you do not have enough information, ask the user clarifying questions. Consider: o What important information do I need to know in order to troubleshoot the error? o Did the initial post provide me with enough information to identify the probable cause and to implement the fix? If you believe that you have enough information, state your hypothesis concerning what is causing the issue. Hello IT help desk, I'm emailing you regarding my Wi-Fi problem. It won't load anything when I try to access this specific website using Wi-Fi, but it loads well when I connect using an Ethernet connection. I confirmed and I'm positive I'm connected to the right Wi-Fi ID. I experienced the same problem when I tried to access that website using my phone, yet there was absolutely no problem when I connected using my data. Thus, I'm more certain that the problem is not with my laptop.

If this is a private network, were there any changes before this issue happened? Like maybe you added more devices to your network? When you are the only one using your internet connection, are there any changes, or still slow? Have you tried resetting your router or modem? Did you contact your Internet Service provider if there are any changes regarding your connections? If this is a public place, have you tried connecting to a different place? Were there any changes before this issue happened? Like maybe your wireless router doing some updates? Can you access your wireless router (Netgear Nighthawk X6) through an app or through the web? If you can access it, what is the current version of the firmware? If you can update the firmware, can you please update it? Is there still a warranty on this router?
During the 9 am-5 pm, what other devices using your internet connection? If running the latest version of the firmware didn’t do anything and if this router is still under warranty, I will suggest contacting Netgear and see if they can replace this router.
