5-2 Activity: Proof of Concept Draft Game Concept: Teleportation Network Zombie Village (Pending) By Yasin Yusuf Summary: For this proof of concept, I am going to create to create a teleport network for getting around the map and to help avoid being overwhelmed by enemies. It will be input activated with a short cooldown to make the player have to use it more strategically Platform: I would prefer to use PCs and consoles because they offer the greatest potential for developing intricate gameplay without the hardware constraints that come with mobile platforms. Feature Overview List out the features or interesting points for the asset Multiple points of access Action Activated Sequence Small Count Down/ Delay Target Rating and Target Market Identify any audience-specific information, such as the following: The expected ESRB rating teen for violence The overall demographic is people who like zombie survival games Unreal Engine Competitive Analysis (list games that are either similar or have similar features) Project Zomboid : an open world survival horror game set in a post -apocalyptic zombie infested world where the player is challenged to survive for as long as possible. Its similar because the background is in an abandoned town and there are zombies. Plan for Creation What are the specific steps or stages of your proof-of-concept creation? Are there specific paths you must follow or decisions you will need to make to complete the proof of concept? 1. Determine the distance and destinations for all points of the teleporters. 2. Make some sort of condition required before teleporters are active 3. Make some visual/audio cues denoting its activation
Concept Points: The game features a village area in which the player spawns there is a lot of open space, so there will be plenty of options to place points for the network. I decided that the teleportation will be entirely random so you wont get to pick which place you are teleported to.
