Hello everyone, My thoughts on the youth learning and today's generation to learn coding is neither here nor there. The reason I feel this way is because when something is forced on someone they tend to like it or want to do it. However if you do introduce coding at a young age and you see the person has a passion or a niche for it then yes, that is when it becomes beneficial for society because then that person, or kid will want to know how things work and how you are able to make things happen on a computer just by simple programming methods. The lack of programming skill has made it less competitive and more of something that is in need. This is actually good because people who do have the knowledge base of programming are then able to find high paying jobs that they might qualify for. A time in my professional career where coding was beneficial is when I had a job on the base as a government contractor. I was doing some work on CENTOS 7 or Linux/Unix databases and I had did a query on files and saw that one was corrupted due to the structure of the code within the database. I was able to reach out to the engineer at that time and saved the base millions of dollars of research being erased. Come to find out that it was an attempted cyber security breach. This was very beneficial for me as it lead me to want to know more of the coding process and I enjoy it.
