The setting of the profession. This might include things like the population(s) in the setting, the work hours, the types of responsibilities, the pay, or anything else you find interesting or relevant. Please also include something you did and did not like about the setting. (Minimum 5 sentences)
Interpreters work in a variety of settings, including schools, hospitals, courtrooms, detention facilities, and conference centers; they also may work remotely. Some interpreters, such as liaison or escort interpreters, travel frequently. Translators usually work in offices, which may include remote settings. They usually receive and submit their work electronically and must sometimes deal with the pressure of deadlines and tight schedules. I would work in the school system. I like how many different work settings there are, however, I would not want to travel long distances away from my family for my job.

What do you find interesting about the setting? Why? I find it interesting that there are so many different work environments an ASL Interpreter could work. I feel that makes it more likely to find a work environment that you like and feel comfortable in.

I found my own question asking what grade would be the easiest to communicate with while working in a school environment interesting because it could be different that with normal children. I believe the answer would depend on the patient. There could be a more focused patient who is younger that a less attentive older patient making it easier. 4.
Is this a setting you are interested in working in? Why or why not?
I would be very interested in working in this environment because I like to work with kids and help set them on a successful path out of school.
