The Automatic Lawn Mowing System
This email will provide my analysis of the schematic diagram. The Automatic Lawn Mower System is designed to be used by a remote, a robot, or by GPS in order to mow the area you want. The claim information that was given in the schematic diagram is difficult to read and or understand and can be extremely complicated for people or customers who are not tech savvy. I would suggest that this claim be described in more detail or details that can be easily understood or read. So, they may be able to understand how this Automatic Lawn Mower System works. Don’t get me wrong, the diagram is awesome but the steps to follow can be difficult for the frequent user. Claim 1 states that this system is compromising. An alternate way they can explain it is that the Automatic Lawn Mower System is a robotic device that can actually mow your lawn for you without you having to go outside and do the actual hard labor yourself just by punching in some coordinates of the area you would like to be mowed. Claim 2 claims that, “The operations compromising receiving confirmation by a user of the area to be mowed”. An alternate way to say this would be that this system gets the coordinates that need to be mowed only by the users itself. Claim 3 says, “The operations compromising configuring the controller to control the robot lawnmower to autonomously mow the area”. Where I think it should state how to use the controller so the user may be able to mow any areas they may choose to mow. They can control this information all through one simple controller. Claim 4 states that, “Wherein the robot lawnmower compromises a global positioning system (GPS) receiver, and wherein the controller is configured to move the robot lawn mower to be the first and second reference points within the area and determine the first and second geographic coordinates for the 1
st
and 2
nd
reference”. They are basically talking about using the GPS receiver to be able to move from one point to another but in order for the users to understand this method, they should simply
state it as simple as I just did. Users want simple and easy to understand or comprehend. I know personally when I read a manual or instructions that I can’t understand, I get frustrated and want to give
up on trying to use it. I will end up returning the item or simply exchanging it for something much simpler. In my opinion, the schematic diagram was overall assembled well but not well enough to understand and match what was written on the diagram. The pictures on the diagram and the words that were said on how to use this robotic lawnmower did not add up. The words used in this diagram were over the top. I would suggest the simpler the better.
