Reflection Topic: College Success
In my understanding, being successful in college goes far beyond having good grades and getting
approval at the end of each course, but rather being able to understand all the program guidelines
and respect them, being able to finish assignments on time, participate in discussions proposed
by teachers and other students, being able to correctly evaluate peers in the best possible way,
using reasonableness and proportionality when giving a grade to another student, being cordial
with words when talking to other people, and also when need to rely on the faculty or professors
with some doubts, be able to be served in the best possible way, with precision, cordiality and
punctuality.
My strategy to achieve my success in college is to use all the tools given by the college that help
me to be punctual in my tasks, such as the study plan offered in this course, which will help me
organize my schedules and what I should study and do every day. I also intend to use the
discussion forums to connect with other students and with my teacher, and in this way acquire
and give more knowledge to or from others. I intend to learn more every day about certain
subjects of my course and in the end be able to work in the area I choose, using my technical
knowledge acquired during this course.
My only concern is not understanding any assignment or getting it wrong and that will harm my
academic life and my professional life in the future. But I believe that the professors and
instructors are present in the course to help us when we have questions, so we just need to be
more active and try to solve any problems if we have difficulties.
Regarding my expectations, I believe that this course will help me a lot in my social, academic,
and professional life. Seeking knowledge will always be a great choice even if we already have
years of studies or have already gone to college. In my opinion, this course is the gateway to the
American education system, and I'm excited to be part of this college and this team.

According to Salmons (2019) “one premise is that
collaboration is the synthesis of
multiple processes that involve both individual and group efforts. While collaboration is
widely discussed, existing resources often refer to it in a simplistic way and make overly
broad distinctions between collaborative and individual work. “Learning to collaborate,
collaborating to learn” approaches recognize the role of individual reflection and sense-
making as essential to collaboration in an educational context” (Salmons
, 2019, p.3).
