ISE 640 Module Six Lab Guidelines and Rubric Overview The experience will provide you with valuable opportunities to “walk a mile” in the shoes of a forensic practitioner performing basic forensic tasks. Gaining this type of experience is necessary in managing and relating to the individuals and teams you will interact with in the field. Practice the communication and writing skills you will need to employ in both of your final projects. It is important to note that these activities are relevant to your final projects. They are practice opportunities that focus on some of the specific topics and skills that will be addressed in the final project papers. It is expected that examples from the labs will be used as supporting references in your final projects. Required Screenshots: In your report, be sure to create and save the screenshots outlined below. Screenshots need to display your name and the date in the image. Follow these steps to complete the screenshot: How to take a screenshot (Windows) The easiest way to do this is to open Notepad and type your name and date. Place the Notepad screen next to the InfoSec lab you are completing at the steps in the lab indicated below. Press the Ctrl and PrtScn keys at the same time. Open a Word document and paste the screenshot in it. When you have finished, upload the entire Word document to your assignment. In this assignment, you will be completing the Communication Artifacts lab. Complete the lab and take screenshots of the following steps: Email Messages and Programs

What did you do in the lab? How did it work? What did you look for or find? Describe the specific practices or resources that were most important in supporting the investigation and maintaining evidentiary integrity in this lab. For example: Value of communication artifacts in digital investigations Methods and tools for extracting communication artifacts Methods and tools for analyzing communication artifacts Include the required screenshots. What to Submit For each lab assignment, follow the instructions provided in the prompt. Each lab assignment should be turned in as a Word document with the required screenshots, lab summary, and specific practices. Any sources must be cited according to APA style.
