HRPD-702-Mod 3 Topic 2 - Job Satisfaction Worksheet Course Code: HRPD-702 Course Name: Contemporary Organizational Behaviour Directions Directions: Based on the materials in this topic, download the worksheet and capture your response(s) and then submit the completed document into the appropriate Module - Topic eDropBox folder. Minimum word count: 375 Provide your response(s) to: 1. Search the internet about "job satisfaction.” 2. Find four (4) articles which indicate the level to which there is/or is not positive job satisfaction. 3. Summarize your findings in one paragraph per article. Article 1: Pew Research Center The Pew Research Centre conducts in-depth investigations into how people evaluate the significance of their work in their identities. Approximately 51% of workers are very satisfied with their occupations, with older people and those with higher salaries having the most satisfaction. Nonetheless, satisfaction levels differ significantly when focusing on certain employment factors, such as compensation and opportunities for promotion, with just around one-third reporting very high satisfaction. These findings suggest that, while overall job satisfaction is relatively high, there are several areas that may be improved, namely salary and career growth. Article 2: Conference Board's The  Conference Board's  survey reflects an all-time high in job satisfaction, reporting that 62.3% of U.S. workers were content with their jobs in 2022, marking the highest level since 1987. This increase is due to increases in compensation, benefits, and work/life balance, with job switchers reporting the highest levels of satisfaction. This data indicates that the competitive job market has forced employers to offer better conditions, which in turn has positively impacted worker satisfaction. © 2020 CENTENNIALCOLLEGE.CA All rights reserved . This tendency, which has also been found in other developed economies, implies a significant shift in job satisfaction levels, indicating a workforce that is growing less willing to tolerate unfavourable working conditions. Article 4: National Center for Biotechnology Information   Finally, the National Centre for Biotechnology Information addresses a specific topic in the healthcare industry, with an emphasis on nurse job satisfaction. The data indicate that nurses generally have lower job satisfaction than other healthcare professionals, creating a challenge for management to improve their satisfaction levels. This pattern highlights the sector-specific challenges that might have an impact on overall work satisfaction, underlining the need for targeted initiatives to address these issues. © 2020 CENTENNIALCOLLEGE.CA All rights reserved .
