Types of Business Environments Domestic and international are the two different types of business environments. Most local companies keep to a more domestic environment instead of international environment. National Corporations on the other hand extend their business internationally for more sources of revenue. The difference is that domestic business is a business that conducts economic transactions within a countries borders. International businesses conduct economical transactions outside of the countries borders. Example Organizations An example of a domestic business is a local grocery store that is usually owned by one person and has one to five locations. They conduct business within the borders of the country. Another example would be Wells Fargo. Wells Fargo is an interesting company: it is one of America’s largest financial institutions but only has exposure to the national market. (Bourgi, 2023) Examples of international companies would be Apple. Apple opened its first international location in Tokyo, Japan, in 2003   after saturating the American market. Under Jobs, Apple touted ease-of-use, innovative design, and customer loyalty with the marketing slogan, “Think Different,” and it continues to use visionary strategic marketing and a tight ecosystem to overcome competition and attract creative audiences around the globe. ( Stobierski, 2022) Benefits of Expansion Benefits of expansion allow companies access by networking to obtain new goods. Another benefit is companies moving their production to other companies for cheaper labor. Another benefit would be obtaining cheaper resources to use for production of goods. Another excellent benefit of taking your business global is that you get access to a new pool of potential employees with unique skills and mindsets. You may even find that these potential hires have
skills that are hard to find in your home country, which gives you an edge on other organizations in your field that have not yet gone global. (Dynamic, 2022) Ethical Considerations Companies need to use ethics when considering the sale of their product. If companies use Triple Bottom Line strategy, they will maximize their profit while pleasing the customers they sell to. Most costumers consider the environmental impact companies have before buying their product. A company must use ethical decision making skills to help sustain their clientele and keep their revenue stream steady as well as climbing. References bourgi, sam.
