BIO-220 Topic 3 DQ 1&2 DQ1 Hello Professor and Classmates, Cultural influences and religion dissemination contribute to the increase in population birth rate and immigration. The notion of birth control lacks widespread acceptance. The practice of using contraception is seen culturally taboo in many societies (Nr, R., 2022).Within the Catholic Church, religious propagation is based on the belief that the use of synthetic birth control technologies is considered a violation of God's law and hence sinful. According to Catholic Answers (2019), contraception is considered morally incorrect due to its intentional disregard for the inherent structure that God has instilled in humanity, also known as "natural law." Some individuals seek refuge in a foreign nation where they have the freedom to make decisions without being dictated by government or religious restrictions. Furthermore, China's population is too large, leading to overpopulation, and the government has implemented a policy that restricts families to having just one child. Having several children leads to mortality in order to prevent overpopulation and mitigate the risks of death and scarcity of resources. One factor contributing to the growth in emigration and mortality rates in another nation is the availability of work opportunities or government regulations. In some nations, the populace emigrates in search of more lucrative employment opportunities to sustain their families or due to the scarcity of means for survival. According to the study conducted by (Nr, R., 2022) there has been a significant increase in the number of individuals relocating to other nations in order to ensure their existence. Simultaneously, some individuals depart in search of security and better livelihoods for their families. Consequently, they are either enhancing or reducing the economy. The exponential increase in population has detrimental effects on both natural resources and the overall quality of life (Nr, R., 2022). The increase in lifespans has a direct impact on the death rate, since greater life expectancy leads to a fall in mortality rates. Imbalanced birth and mortality rates provide a danger of insufficient resources for the global population, perhaps leading to future upheaval. Mortality is an inevitable occurrence for all individuals, although ultimately it serves to maintain the stability of the planet. References; Catholic Answers. (2019, May 17). DQ2 Hello Professor and Classmates, The region I reside in is surrounded by several oil refineries. We have had many gas leaks and explosions in our community from the refineries. This causes a widespread of panic, a mass messaging systems alerts everyone to close all doors, turn off a/c units, not to use natural gas at times, and to stay indoors away from harm and exposure. The proliferation of water pollution has long been a persistent environmental problem. There is a single spot where the firms have the ability to discharge the oils, and regrettably, that location happens to be the water supply for both my city and the whole county. Previously, fatalities have occurred as a result of this. Despite the implementation of preventive measures, there is a possibility that individuals may become sick due to the existing water contamination. This may also be an issue for farmers as it puts their cattle and harvests in jeopardy. The city of my origin has seen a decrease in dangers compared to other cities due to recent urban development and an increase in population. One potential danger arising from the presence of vacant land and grass areas is the risk of fire. The presence of fire is a significant issue for those living in this area, which encompasses grassy golf courses and the surrounding open territory on the hills. When the grass dries up, the danger intensifies, but continuous rainfall reduces the threat since it decreases the likelihood of easy combustion. The individuals susceptible to potential harm in the event of a fire are those residing in the vicinity. If a fire were to occur, housing complexes, schools, and businesses would all be susceptible to its impact. Not only would companies be destroyed, but the aftermath of the smoke might also have a significant impact on individuals. Smoke inhalation is a threat to individuals since it causes damage to the respiratory system, resulting in impaired oxygen intake. Although extinguishing the flames, the lingering smoke in the atmosphere may persist for many weeks, the duration of which depends on the severity of the fire. Asthma sufferers, the elderly, children, and even animals are all impacted.
