The values of hunter-gatherers such as land and social interactions, are used to justify that they’re being forced to assimilate to the present. Present day society is still expanding with populations, resources, technology, and land. The land is how hunter-gatherers survive and with present society trying to assimilate them, they now have to try to incorporate their skills into the present life. Hunter-gatherers aren’t being respected, and “we should turn our attention to contemporary history and examine ways to assist different societies to adjust to the changes that threaten their survival.” (Cultural Survival) The source interprets using research and regular articles to support its claim, however, the name of the articles aren’t mentioned nor cited, therefore, it could be anecdotal evidence.
