Understanding Ethnography 1 Understanding the Nature of Ethnography Understanding Ethnography Daniel Yerovi
Understanding Ethnography 2 Abstract The importance of study the culture of a community, a specific field, or any behavior that experimented in real life, that is ethnographic, the study of a field where could be analyzed by visualizing, experimenting, get in involved, investigating, and many more. The more information the person get, more accurate the analysis will be presented.
Understanding Ethnography 3 Understanding the Ethnography Fieldwork When you need want to understand how people behaving on a community, or how they learn something, this is ethnography. It makes me understand better the mean of cultural anthropology, how this social science explores the people understanding, behaving and act in it. There is different ways to do this, and as it was presented, it could be by visualizing the person in that particular field, also could be made by been involved in the fieldwork with person or community to experiment the same point of view of the person at the same time, it could be more accurate to do it on this way because the investigator will experiment the same struggles that the person experiment, sometimes things that we think is easy to understand when is not that easy at all, it is not what it looks like. What it makes interesting to me is the beauty of interaction with people, the experience that you will be gain on the field is wonderful, and you can understand better the issues on the fieldwork and improve them better. Interacting in the field, taking with the people involve gives you more accurate information, the majority of the time is better than just visualizing the field. It is very different investigate a particular field from a book or notes from somebody else, it may give you some ideas and perspectives of that particular subject, but experimenting everything on real life will give you a different perspective, your personal perspective from your own particular point of view and not from a sub-point-of-view or in other word, from other person point of view, this does not mean that is not important or useless, by the contraire means that will fulfill all the knowledge collected and present a better research on your investigation. Ethnography influenced me to go forward on my path for the knowledge, to go to the fieldwork and investigate, interact, analyze, visualize, and have the best experience to pursuit the goal, the understanding of the nature culture.
