Model Applications Worksheet Instructions: Use the information you collected during your interview to address the following and complete this worksheet. Provide a one or two sentence summary of what you learned from the professional based upon the responses offered to each of the questions. 1. Have you seen the impact of applying these elements in your career? The P.R.I.C.E. aspects have had a substantial impact on my career, yes. I had less confidence in my abilities when I initially began, and I frequently made mistakes. But as I developed my professionalism, dependability, and ethics, I started to experience greater career success. With my ability to forge closer bonds with both clients and colleagues, I am now more likely to be given responsibility for significant initiatives. 2. Which element(s) is/are the most important in your career field? In my line of work, professionalism is what I think is most crucial. Working with clients that are unfamiliar with the technical parts of my work is common for me as a software developer. Building trust with my clients and being able to express my views succinctly and clearly are both crucial to me. Additionally, I think that in my industry, dependability is crucial. I must be able to deliver high-quality work on time. 3. In what situations are these elements the most challenging to utilize? It can be difficult to apply the P.R.I.C.E. elements while under a lot of pressure or stress. For instance, it can be challenging for me to remain composed and on task while I am working under pressure. In circumstances where there is a lot of money or power at stake, ethics are also crucial. I should be careful not to exploit my clients or make promises I can't keep, for instance. 4. Would you add or subtract from this list of elements if you could? Yes, I think that the P.R.I.C.E. principles apply to future professions in this field. Professionals must be able to adapt to new technologies and trends because the tech sector is always evolving. No matter what industry they work in, the P.R.I.C.E. features will help professionals succeed. 5. Do you feel these elements are applicable for careers in this field in the future? It can be difficult to apply the P.R.I.C.E. elements while under a lot of pressure or stress. For instance, it can be challenging for me to remain composed and on task while I am working under pressure. In circumstances where there is a lot of money or power at stake, ethics are also crucial. I should be careful not to exploit my clients or make promises I can't keep, for instance.
Using 4 or 5 sentences in your response, reflect upon the entire interview. Describe what you learned and how you can apply it as a new professional in your chosen career field. In my interview with a professional in the dental assistant career field, I gained valuable insight into how the P.R.I.C.E. model elements are important for success in the profession. The professional emphasized the importance of professionalism, resourcefulness, initiative, collaboration, and empathy. These skills are essential for any dental assistant to possess in order to be successful in the field. The professional also discussed how these elements can be challenging to utilize in certain situations. For example, a dental assistant may need to use their initiative to come up with creative solutions to difficult problems or collaborate with other professionals to achieve better patient outcomes. It is important to be able to recognize when to use the appropriate P.R.I.C.E. elements in different situations. In Unit 1, Topic 2, the connection between P.R.I.C.E. and soft skills is explored. What soft skills were demonstrated by the professional in the interview? The professional demonstrated professional communication skills in his/her use of words and tone of voice, which is an example of a soft skill that is important for a dental assistant to possess. How do the interviewee’s responses about P.R.I.C.E. elements (important to the career field) relate to the soft skills demonstrated? The professional also discussed how these elements are applicable for careers in the field in the future. The P.R.I.C.E. model elements will continue to be important for dental assistants to possess in order to be successful, even as the field evolves and changes. (Here is a sample response to the final question: In the interview, (name) discussed the importance of professionalism. During the interview, he/she demonstrated professional communication in his/her use of words and tone of voice.) Once you have completed this worksheet (use the assignment rubric to ensure it is complete), submit it to the assignment area.
